How to LICK Ice Cream
JGH is proud to announce the first official version of the Lick Style Definition Manual.
LICK is an interface design language and describes the structural and functional presentation of a website. LICK, in its runtime form, creates XHTML pages.
LICK was created and executed for the first time by JGH on the 5th of July 2008 and has grown exceptionally in the first 6 months into a powerful language that allows Database data to be converted into professionally designed and functional websites. Currently, the LICK code core engine is undergoing research and development to integrate mobile, flash and AIR applications to provide web designers with the ability to design complex applications beyond the web.
LICK can only run on websites that utilise the Ice Cream Core Engine. The advantage of this is to allow for flexible upgrades to all websites, and to enable the easy implementation of interface frameworks such as Scriptalicious and jQuery.
LICK is similar to CSS in its rules and syntax structure to allow designers to learn the code at an uncomplicated level.
Essentially, LICK can be used to create Structural HTML elements such as DIVS, TABLES, UL and other aspects of document presentation and combines it with Database Content. LICK is designed to combine the structural aspects of a document and the dynamic content of a Database with ease. This purpose is to keep content distribution seperate from structural design so as to improve usability and syndication of information.
